Andrew Whittaker, founder and development director of Denstone Property

Denstone Property is an independent development management and property consultancy, built around a simple idea: the buildings already standing are often the ones worth fighting for.

We work across the full lifecycle of a project, from early appraisal through to delivery and handover, bringing senior-level development experience to schemes that re-use, refurbish and reimagine existing buildings, rather than start from nothing.

Andrew is a Chartered Surveyor and Development Director with over seventeen years across the full property development lifecycle, from acquisition and appraisal through to delivery and asset management.

He has held senior roles both in consultancy and in-house with two North West-focused developers, most recently as Development Director on Manchester's St John's Estate masterplan.

He founded Denstone Property in December 2024 to bring that senior-level experience to a different kind of project: the re-use and refurbishment of existing buildings.

The aim is straightforward: deliver schemes that are commercially robust, sustainably minded and don't lose the character that made the building worth keeping in the first place.

Outside of Denstone, Andrew is a trustee of Salford Lads Club, a fitting sideline for someone who spends his working days thinking about what buildings mean to the people around them.
